VOG: Co-Branding between Evelina Bio and Bio Marlene
VOG is preparing to launch a new project centred on the Club Evelina Bio® apple, of which the Consortium is the exclusive producer in Italy.
VOG is preparing to launch a new project centred on the Club Evelina Bio® apple, of which the Consortium is the exclusive producer in Italy. It will take the form of a co-branding initiative with Bio Marlene®, the Consortium’s organic brand which encompasses nine different varieties of apple.
The co-branding project only regards Spain and involves the creation of the packaging with a doublelayer Evelina Bio® carton, which will feature a special recommendation by the Bio Marlene® brand. The aim is to convey a sense of continuity to operators in the country, who already work with the Consortium and are familiar with its quality standards in terms of products and services.
The Evelina Bio® apple stands out for its attractive shape and colours thanks to its dark red skin with golden tinges. It is particularly popular with consumers all over the world for its aromatic fragrance, crunchiness and long-lasting fresh flavour. Thanks to its natural resistance, which enables it to deal with the main apple tree parasites without any problem, the Evelina® is particularly suited to organic cultivation.
In 2015, VOG harvested around 1500 tonnes of Evelina Bio® eating apples. These were the first “commercial” harvests and so we therefore expect to see an increase in these quantities over the next few seasons.
