The Antalya region, in the southwest of Turkey, is the heart of Turkish agriculture. From 2 to 5 December 2015, the city of Antalya hosted the 15th edition of Growtech Eurasia. For farmers in Turkey and neighbouring countries in Eurasia, this fair is an important platform where they meet producers, buyers and decision makers. With 40,000 square meters of exhibition floor in Antalya’s Expo Center, exhibitors can showcase their new products, technologies and services.

Previously represented at this fair by its loyal Turkish Partner Antilsan, Biobest Antalya – Biobest’s subsidiary in Turkey – was now directly and prominently present. This reflects the new integrated company structure in Turkey in which Biobest Antalya is now directly distributing its broad range of high quality pollination and biocontrol products.

Çağlar Çiftçi, assistant sales manager & marketing at Biobest Antalya, looks back on a successful fair. “We noticed a lot of interest of farmers in our products and services, they were particularly eager to learn about our novelties. In terms of pollination, the use of bumblebees as pollinators – already widespread in protected crops is rapidly gaining traction in open-field crops. IPM solutions and biological control of pests and diseases are on the rise in Turkey and the Middle East. Novelties for our markets include Dyna-Mite® G-System, a beneficial against thrips and whitefly with a great potential in ornamentals, and Nutrimite™ , the natural food supplement that underpins our strategy of preventatively building strong populations of predatory mites.”

“The number of participants and visitors to Growtech Eurasia increases every year, making it a high profile event in the agenda of international agriculture fairs. The enthusiastic feedback of visitors at such a fair is a very important encouragement for us,” concludes Çiftçi.
