Romania will rent state-owned areas of up to 50 ha to young farmers to establish population in rural areas This is provided for in the amendment carried out by the Romanian Government last Thursday, which modified the law on the privatization of commercial companies that own land owned by the State for agricultural agricultural use. 9/29/2020
At the Romanian Government meeting on September 24, 2020, was amended the Government Decision no. 626/2001 for the approval of the Methodological Norms for the application of Law no. 268/2001 regarding the privatization of commercial companies that own land owned by the public and private property of the State with agricultural use and the establishment of the State Domain Agency (ADS). The adoption of this normative act creates the legislative framework necessary to complete the Young Farmers Installation Program, through the granting of facilities, concession / lease, respectively, of agricultural land with an area of up to 50 ha, in order to settle in rural areas and carry out agricultural activities. The objective of this normative act is to modify, complement and regulate the Methodological Norms for the application of Law No. 268/2001, which provide for the possibility that ADS leases / leases agricultural land, free of contract in the maximum area of 50 ha, belonging to the public or private domain of the State, by direct award, to young people up to 40 years old, graduates for the formation of agricultural profiles, in order to set up farms.
