For some years now, in the MAIZAR Congress we have been reflecting on the fundamental changes that are taking place in the world. The world economy is growing, mainly driven by Asian countries, and incorporates people into the middle class, whose greater purchasing power impacts on the demand for energy and food. At the same time, there is a need to replace traditional fossil energy sources with renewable sources. Structural changes that gave agribusiness countries like ours the opportunity to develop.

In this context of high demand for what we know how to produce, in the 14 MAIZAR Congresses we went through the keys to capture opportunities. Among other issues, we analyze the global scenario, we debate with the public sector various political and economic proposals, we disseminate new technologies and new environmental and commercial standards to which we must adapt, we propose the need to add value to our production, the opportunity that offers the development of bioenergies, the advantages we have in international markets, new barriers to trade, we generate strategic alliances with countries that have concerns similar to ours, we describe logistics and infrastructure limitations, good agricultural practices and discuss on the need for society to accompany this process of value creation.

The opportunity that Argentines have to develop from our agribusiness, capable of generating thousands of jobs throughout the country, is enormous. Agriculture can increase its contribution to society by generating wealth from the increase in production and export of its production. The country cannot continue wasting and postponing opportunities. THE FUTURE IS TODAY is the motto we chose for this unexpected year where one part is known and predictable but the other is challenging and full of uncertainty.

With the aim of building a frame of reference that allows us to understand the current business situation, find our new balances and debate the model of Argentina that we want, we invite you, next Tuesday, May 18, to participate in this 15th Congress MAIZAR, for the second consecutive time in virtual format.
