This year, agriculture has shown how important it is to the food security of all countries.

In this sense, Serbia stood out as a country with high independence and excellent performance. Not only was there no drop in production despite the state of emergency and curfew during spring planting, it also achieved record results in production and exports. With $ 4.1 billion in exports and growth of more than 14%, Serbia has also established itself as a regional leader in the agricultural sector. How to continue record production, achieve even better results through raw material processing and how to finance production in 2021 are some of the topics of the AGRO BELGRADE conference that is being organized instead of the planned fair, due to current health measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The conference will take place on March 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the large conference room of Hall 4 of the Belgrade Fair. The event will be opened by Branislav Nedimovié, Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management. Speakers include Shanley Pinchotti, USAID Office of Democratic and Economic Development Director, Aleksandar Pavlovié, USAID Competitive Economy Project Director, Milinko Velickovié, Belgrade City Secretary of the Economy, and Vladimir Zivanovié, Agro Director Belgrade.

On this occasion, the significance of the event will be presented where prominent experts will debate several key issues:

- Prospects for the export markets of fruit and vegetables
- Potential for apples and stone fruits and planting material in Serbia
- Agribusiness financing models in Serbia in 2021
- Advanced technologies in the cultivation of fruits and vegetables

The entire conference will be available on the official channel of You Tube Agro Belgrade.

The main partners of the Agro Belgrade 2021 conference are the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia, the Secretariat of Economy of the City of Belgrade, the USAID Competitive Economy Project and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, potential client of national production in need of integration of Serbia in the local and international market.
