In order to respect CropLife Europe's commitment to make closed transfer systems (CTS) available to European farmers and operators by 2030, Bayer has joined the group of companies in the sector developing the easyconnect closed transfer system. Together with ADAMA, BASF, Belchim Crop Protection, Certis Europe, Corteva Agriscience, FMC Corporation, Nufarm, Rovensa Group and Syngenta, Bayer will bring the easyconnect system to market, thus providing a fast, safe and convenient solution for European farmers and operators. At the same time, through commercially available solutions, Bayer will continue to support the implementation of closed transfer systems.

"The easyconnect Working Group is pleased to welcome Bayer to its membership and appreciates the contribution that its support of the easyconnect system will make to achieving the goal of universal access to closed transfer systems in Europe," explained Louise Brinkworth, Manager Stewardship for the EMEA region at Corteva Agriscience and chair of the steering committee of the easyconnect CTS Working Group.

“In order to further improve operator safety and environmental protection during the mixing, loading and rinsing phase of containers when using crop protection products, Bayer is committed to to promote the implementation of closed transfer systems. In keeping with this commitment, Bayer has been promoting CTS since 2014. To provide even more flexibility to farmers and reap the benefits of such a solution, Bayer is pleased to join the easyconnect Working Group, ”explained Fabrice Houdebert, Head of Marketing of the EMEA Region at Bayer.

It is scheduled to be launched on the market in 2022 in Denmark and the Netherlands, followed by France, Germany and the United Kingdom in 2023. Other countries are likely to follow.

The easyconnect system is an open technology that is available to all interested agricultural parties. Other stakeholders in the agrochemical sector, equipment manufacturers or any other party interested in joining the easyconnect launch are encouraged to contact any of the affiliated companies.
