Fruit Logistica Special Edition 2021 will not be able to take place Messe Berlin cancels the 2021 special edition of the international fresh produce fair, which would have taken place from May 18 to 20, 2021, due to the current coronavirus pandemic in Europe and in the rest of the world. 3/18/2021
"I'm sure today's cancellation didn't surprise anyone," says Madlen Miserius, Executive Director of Product at FRUIT LOGISTICA. “The coronavirus pandemic is lasting longer than expected. We wanted to make a physical event a reality in May, but the prospects for business trips to Berlin and large face-to-face meetings are too low. Under these circumstances, it is simply impossible for us to meet face to face. Messe Berlin has worked hard to prepare a special edition of FRUIT LOGISTICA that will take place over three days in May. FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION was designed to withstand the uncertainties of the pandemic and protect customers, both their health and their investments. The concept was very well received in the market: registering the registration of more than 600 companies in Europe and the rest of the world. “We created FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION because we knew from our discussions with the industry that there was a strong desire to hold a physical event. That's why we developed a concept to offer our exhibitors the greatest flexibility with the least possible risk, ”explains Madlen Miserius, Executive Product Manager. "Unfortunately, the pandemic continues to prevail, which has led to today's cancellation," adds Miserius. “There is a large international family in the fresh fruit and vegetable sector that meets every year at FRUIT LOGISTICA. We are already in talks with international market players and have started to work towards preparing for FRUIT LOGISTICA 2022. We will do everything possible to ensure that the 30th edition is an exciting face-to-face event. So save a spot in your schedule for FRUIT LOGISTICA: February 9-11, 2022 in Berlin ».
