Residues are detected on peppers from Turkey Bulgarian authorities have detected the presence of Fosthiazate residues in fresh peppers originating from Turkey 11/13/2015
The Rapid Alert System of Food and Feed (RASFF) has informed that the Bulgarian authorities have detected the presence of Fosthiazate residues in peppers originating from Turkey. Since RASFF notified that alert, these peppers were not yet in the market, so they were proceeded to be destroyed. The realized analysis determined the presence of 0.044 ppm. However, the Maximun Residue Limits (MRLs) for this active matter are 0.02 ppm.
