Kubota is the first tractor manufacturer to obtain AEF certification for its TIM combination of the M7003 Premium KVT tractor series and the BV5xxx baler series. In the work environment, this system allows the Kubota M7003 tractor to communicate with AEF-certified attachments, allowing the TIM baler or other TIM-certified AEF attachments to control tractor functionality such as power take-off, hydraulic system and vehicle speed.

The AEF (Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation) recently announced that both the baler and the M7003 tractor developed by Kubota have received TIM conformity test certification. The AEF Foundation, in its role as an international organization dedicated to the technological innovation of agricultural equipment, has the duty to prove and control that manufacturers are following the protocol to obtain TIM certificates.

Kubota's TIM (Tractor Implement Management) system enables bilateral communication between tractors and implements, allowing them to work in perfect harmony and reducing the possibility of human error. In addition, TIM technology increases driver comfort by automating repetitive actions of the baling process and providing the tractor with real-time information, meaning that the driver does not have to check the condition of the bales to complete baling. Once the exact bale diameter is reached, the tractor stops and unloads, always maintaining the same level of compaction, achieving higher quality work.

Kubota has been a primary member of the AEF through the Kverneland Group, the Kubota Group implement manufacturer, whose goal is the advancement of agricultural machinery. As part of its efforts to strengthen partnerships within the sector, the newly created Kubota European Innovation Center has taken over the core of the AEF through the Kverneland Group.

Kubota AEF was created in 2008 by seven manufacturers of agricultural machinery with worldwide operations. The organization aims to create a platform for the electrification and electronic control of agricultural machinery that transcends manufacturers' borders. The AEF currently has 11 core members and about 200 members in total.
