In order to bring relevant content to the consumer, the Brazilian Coffee Industry Association (ABIC) launches the Café Conecta web series, which is shown through the Association's YouTube channel. The action is part of the entity's 2020 marketing campaign, entitled Coffee generates conversations, ABIC connections, which explores the vast universe of the bean. The themes, presented by actor Alexandre Louzada, were developed with the purpose of informing lovers of the second most consumed drink in the country about its quality and purity, as well as answering questions and presenting curiosities. ABIC is committed to a more informal language to approach the public and reinforce its image as a reliable source of information on the coffee agribusiness. There will be six episodes that will address the following topics: coffee and health, myths and truths, coffee as a social habit, coffee and physical activities, types of coffee around the world and recipes. Continuing with the objective of assisting the consumer and promoting food safety, ABIC also developed ABICAFÉ, an application that allows users to make a quick query at the time of purchase, precisely to know if the product they intend to purchase is certified and complies with the required standards of purity and quality of the Association. Simply by downloading the application and scanning products, the consumer will be able to know if the product is within the ABIC standards.
