SAME launches the Audax ST, the king of the open field SAME has designed and built the new Audax ST, an evolution of the Iron3 range. 11/11/2014
Ploughing and transport are among the most challenging jobs that a farmer must face. For this reason SAME has designed and built the new Audax ST, an evolution of the Iron3 range. The salient features of the new high-power SAME range are: engines up to 220 hp, Powershift SMARTronic transmission, long wheelbase, front axle with dedicated braking system and a cab with the highest level of comfort and ergonomics. The Audax ST range comprises two models, 200 and 220 hp, and includes important innovations compared to the Iron3 range, renowned for its traction capacity, in terms of overall efficiency and comfort in the field and on the road. The entire transmission block has been redesigned around the SDF SMARTronic transmission with a new front support and greater front axle capacity, also when braking due to the wet disc brakes. The long wheelbase makes it possible to meet the needs of heavier work and in general to cope with the most extreme conditions. The result is a high-performance machine, exceptional for ploughing. Audax ST is also immediately recognisable thanks to the new design and the ergonomics of the MaxiVision cab controls, designed to ensure a more comfortable driving experience, even after many hours of work. The new lightweight Deutz Tier 4i six-cylinder engines with four valves per cylinder provide the same power as the previous models already at 2,000 rpm and an increase in torque with lower displacement, all to the benefit of the farmer with reduced fuel consumption, operating costs and noise level. The engine equipment is completed with the Common Rail system and SCR post-processing of exhaust gases, replacing the conventional exhaust gas recirculation system, allowing the engine to work with high efficiency and dynamism. The quality of the SMARTtronic transmission is also evident in the 24 gears engageable under load. The first group of 12 gears provides all the speeds useful in the field, up to 19 km/h in twelfth gear. The second group, for road transport, allows you to travel at from 0 to 50 km/h or 60 km/h at 1,750 rpm. With the addition of 9 low ratio gears, the speeds become 33+33, allowing the Audax ST range to perfectly adapt to slow jobs starting from 650 m/h. When road and field conditions change, the APS device electronically selects the ideal gear for every change in load or engine speed for a safe and smooth driving experience. The Sense Clutch shuttle with reactivity modulation also allows the driver to adjust the aggressiveness of the change of direction to the work situation. The braking system includes PowerBrake hydraulic power brakes for maximum stopping power with minimal pedal pressure and the Electric Parking Brake for safe parking even on sloping ground. The basic hydraulic system includes a 113 l/min Load-Sensing pump, plus an independent power steering pump. Audax ST tractors also offer a generous selection of hydraulic distributors, with up to 7 electronically controlled auxiliary distributors. The rear lift has a lifting capacity of 10,000 kg, 4,695 kg for the optional front lift. The MaxiVision cab with pneumatic suspension represents the new benchmark, starting with the high level of soundproofing, the comfortable driver's seat, the quality materials such as the "soft-grip" steering wheel, elegant and functional, and the work monitor on the cab A-pillar. All control elements are grouped by functional area and by colour code and, in particular, those for engine control, driving, PTO and hydraulic functions are gathered in the armrest with the new ergonomic joystick. As an option, the 12.8" touchscreen monitor (i-Monitor 2.0), the Agrosky GPS navigation system and the ComforTip professional management system are also available. SAME Audax ST is the new ally for those looking for a tractor in the SAME range on which to rely for the heavier and more demanding jobs: a powerful and reliable giant.
