Russia increases exports of oil and fat products Russian exports of oil and fat reaches $ 2.14 billion in 2019. 8/6/2019
For the period from January to July 2019, exports of Russian oil and fat products (excluding data on the EAEU countries for June and July) amounted to $ 2.14 billion, which is 21% higher than the same period last year. The development of the domestic oil and fat industry was discussed at a meeting held at the Russian Ministry of Agriculture under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Oksana Lut. The event was attended by representatives of departments of the Ministry, a specialized industry union, as well as major market companies. As was noted during the meeting, oil and fat products are one of the key positions of Russian food exports. In accordance with the passport of the federal project "Export of agricultural products" by 2024, its supply to foreign markets will increase to $ 8.6 billion. In addition, the event participants discussed existing measures to support the industry, including those aimed at increasing production volumes and increasing the share of high value-added products, as well as issues of providing processing enterprises with the necessary volumes of raw materials. At the end of the meeting, Oksana Lut emphasized that the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia is aimed at effective cooperation with participants in the oil and fat market and is ready to assist in resolving emerging issues.
