AGCO Corporation, a global manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, introduces the FendtONE operator interface for North American producers with the introduction of the premium high-horsepower Fendt 700 Gen6 Series tractors. The innovative FendtONE interface is a complete redesign of the operator station, providing an optimized and highly efficient working environment.

The FendtONE operator station has up to three large, easy-to-read display screens. Each driver can customize the operation of the tractor according to their own preferences. There are now more customizable control buttons, which are conveniently located on the ergonomically designed right armrest and multi-function joystick. The interface also offers intuitive operation, like a smartphone or tablet.

"The FendtONE workstation is unlike anything on the market," says Andrew Sunderman, tactical marketing manager. “It will make long days in the cabin much less stressful. And that can reduce errors and improve the accuracy and efficiency of every job, all of which can have a measurable impact on the costs and profitability of an agricultural operation. "

New Features Expand Uses of Popular Tractors

Fendt 700 Series tractors were first introduced to North American producers in 1998. Since then, the tractors have been popular with livestock producers for their versatility, comfort, and easy operation. They are ideal for work with loaders, hay, transport and towing. The recently introduced Fendt 700 Gen6 series tractors, now adjustable to wide and narrow row spacings and available with a variety of row crop tire options, will suit row crop operations well. The addition of third function active loader capacity makes them even more useful throughout your farm operation.

"We are very excited to introduce the 700 Gen6 Series tractors to the North American market," says Sunderman. "These machines redefine best-in-class quality and are a cornerstone among the products available from AGCO's growing Fendt dealer network." This highly adaptable, powerful and productive series of tractors is available in six models with power engines ranging from 144 to 237 (110 to 195 horsepower PTO).

The Fendt 700 Gen6 Series is also available with the Fendt 5X Series loading loader which provides a third-function live loader operation to facilitate the work of feeding livestock and other tasks on the farm. The Fendt Cargo loader is directly integrated into the tractor and enables customers to get the most out of their Fendt tractor.

FendtONE enables operators to own the tractor

Nearly limitless customization through intuitive touchscreen operation and extensive FendtONE system technology allows operators to tailor these Fendt 700 tractors to their individual preferences.

Bright, easy-to-read LED touchscreens are at the heart of the FendtONE system. Operators will appreciate a 12-inch main display located prominently in the armrest, the optional 12-inch drop-down display recessed in the headliner, and the new 10-inch "digital dashboard" mounted on the steering column. The 12-inch displays are linked and synchronized, providing data in unison and the ability to view up to 12 user-selected information panels on the two displays. Navigation is as easy and intuitive as using a smartphone or tablet, thanks to a two-level menu that eliminates time wasted browsing through multiple menus or screens.

Tractor, hitch and implement controls are now located in the center of the armrest, either on the new multi-function joystick or integrated into the armrest itself. Operators do not need to divert their attention while driving or performing a critical task to stretch a knob on the corner post or twist to access a hydraulic lever on a side console.

Button controls are the same color for various functions, which appear on the tractor display in the same color code.

Operators quickly learn to associate colors with specific tasks and functions, so they perform jobs more efficiently, more accurately, and with less chance of error. And, for the first time, there are 11 "assignable" buttons that can be programmed to control tractor or implement functions based on operator preference. All buttons and controls will be illuminated by colored LEDs that match the function the buttons control. Green LED lightning indicates that the button function is activated. Unassigned buttons will not light or have an icon.

The FendtONE system is activated via the launch pad, which functions like the start button on a smartphone, giving the operator quick access to digital displays for all machine functions, including guidance, hydraulics, service / diagnostics and more. The launch pad also includes controls for the air conditioning, the in-cab communication and entertainment system, as well as the side mirror adjustments. The entertainment system offers two speaker system options, eight strategically placed microphones, and connections for external audio sources.

Profi and ProfiPlus offer smart agricultural technologies

The Fendt 700 Gen6 series offers two options for precision agriculture and connectivity: Profi and ProfiPlus. Profi models are available with Fendt Connect, a telemetry package with a three-year subscription standard. Fendt Connect connects the machine to a home office, smartphone or tablet via a mobile network. Provides location, machine and other valuable operational information useful to fleet equipment managers.

The ProfiPlus level includes the Fendt Connect package, plus the guide-ready Fendt Guide package with a choice of Trimble® (AG-382) or NovAtel® (SMART7) receivers. Additionally, ProfiPlus models come with Fendt TaskDoc®, which automates the documentation of crop production. The ProfiPlus level paves the way for other productive options, such as variable rate control for up to five products and section control of up to 36 sections.

Innovative Fendt functions reduce operating costs

All 700 Series Gen 6 models are equipped with the proven Fendt Vario ™ Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), the original continuously variable transmission pioneered and introduced by Fendt in 1995. The Vario transmission offers smooth and precise speed control from 65 feet / hour. (20 mph) at 31 mph (50 kph), allowing the operator to fine-tune the speed required for the task at hand, whether it's the skidding speed required to dig potatoes or the high speed needed to tow carts slurry or silage.

Each Fendt 700 Gen 6 Series tractor is powered by a DEUTZ® 6.06L, 6-cylinder, Tier 4 compliant diesel engine. Turbocharged and intercooled, this proven, reliable, high-torque four-valve powerplant has an engine speed of 2100 rpm low power, which improves fuel efficiency, reduces engine wear and helps minimize repairs. A highly efficient exhaust gas aftertreatment system results in lower DEF consumption, reducing recharges and additional trimming costs.

A long list of other productive features can be found on the 700 Gen6 series, including cab air suspension options for the VisioPlusTM cab, air braking, and heavy duty 3-point front hitch. 51 gallons per minute hydraulic flow provides responsive hydraulic system and robust hitch lift capacity. Up to five rear hydraulic remote controls, two front remote controls and a 1,000 rpm front PTO can handle various implements and jobs. These features make the 700 Gen6 Series tractors some of the most versatile and adaptable in their class.

Gold Star reduces risk and cost of ownership

All Fendt tractors come standard with the Gold Star Customer Service Plan, which offers owners a three-year full machine warranty, all scheduled maintenance and a loan guarantee. Gold Star customer service enables producers to better manage risks and control costs. Additionally, the program helps maintain Fendt's strong commercial and resale values, further reducing the cost of ownership.

"The 700 Series Gen6 with FendtONE Operator Station is an exceptional addition to the Fendt line of tractors that producers will want to investigate at their nearest dealer," says Sunderman. “Existing Fendt customers will appreciate the updates and new options for the 700 Gen6 tractors. And non-Fendt customers looking to gain an advantage in their operation will find a machine that can significantly increase operating efficiency and profits. "
