Valtra fifth generation tractors are designed to provide the best possible customer experience. “The new tractors are not only beautiful, but also easy to use, have many new smart features and are extremely comfortable. We have made many improvements to the new series based on customer feedback on our award-winning fourth generation tractors. Precision farming is at the heart of the new generation and all new models are available with Valtra Connect, ”says Mikko Lehikoinen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

N and T series packed with new features

Redesigned cabs, a new look, new engine and transmission features, and an all-new smart display make these new tractors very easy to use, as well as including smart farming technologies. One of the most visible new features of the 5th generation N and T series tractors is the A-pillar display, which replaces the traditional instrument panel behind the wheel and on which all important information can be easily viewed. in color on a screen. Default information such as driving speed, engine speed and time are always shown at the top of the screen. Below this data, the operator can select information to control the tractor and implement, with precision and in the desired format. The screen also shows radio station and smartphone information via Bluetooth.

The same screen can also be used on HiTech and Active models to configure all engine, hydraulic and transmission settings. All settings and menus are presented clearly on the screen, allowing the operator to get the most out of the tractor. On Versu and Direct models, the A-pillar display and SmartTouch are divided into tasks based on importance and operator preference.

As soon as you enter the cab of the 5th generation N or T series tractors, it is clear that the tractor has been completely revamped. The steering column is completely new and it is now easier to adjust the position of the steering wheel. Valtra's acclaimed forward / reverse shuttle lever has been updated to make it now easier to change direction when using different controls, such as the SmartTouch lever or TwinTrac shuttle. The steering wheel is slightly larger than before, but still very handy in size, characteristic of Valtra tractors.

Starting in speed ranges B and C is easy, even with heavy loads, thanks to the new Boost power boost at startup. Switching between groups or ranges is now also faster, which is especially appreciated when driving on the road.

More comfortable work

The new cab is more comfortable and makes it easier to increase productivity at work. On SmartTouch models, the layout of the right side of the cab has been modified and now the seat can even be turned further to the right. The control panel on the right side also includes a handy phone holder and optional USB charging points for mobile phones, tablets or other electronic devices. The upper part of the new generation Valtra Evolution seat back rotates with the driver and also provides support when the driver turns partially to view the rear implement or implement.

The higher-quality, dark-colored Premium interior is available as an option for the cabin and includes, for example, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, partially chrome-plated pedals and rubber padding at the bottom of the storage compartments.

Smarter models

Today, approximately two out of three new Valtra tractors are equipped with self-steering or smart farming solutions. Customers can also equip their new N or T series tractor with Valtra Guide's smart farming and auto guidance solutions, such as TaskDoc, Section Control or Variable Dose. Job data can be transferred directly between the tractor and Farm Management Software (FMIS).

The new Auto U-Pilot combines Valtra's innovative automatic headland management system with Valtra Guide. With Auto U-Pilot, implement control is more precise at the headlands, reducing operator attention, making work easier and maximizing performance.

The number of software options is increasing rapidly due to the development of smart farming technology, and Valtra customers can easily update the latest features of their tractors with SmartTouch.

'New legislation, such as the European Ecological Pact, is accelerating the need to use precision agriculture. Therefore, over the next few years, agriculture will change more than it has in recent decades. We believe that precision agriculture technology will play a key role in achieving sustainability goals. Ensuring the right technology is used in the right place and at the right time will help improve agricultural productivity and reduce the impact on the environment. Valtra is ready to help farmers through this change, ”says Lehikoinen.

Immediate availability

The new N and T series models are now available, as production started at the Valtra factory in Finland this spring.

Valtra will present the new models at a virtual launch event to be held on April 16, 2021 at 11:00 CET at www.valtralive.com/2021. On the occasion of Valtra's 70th anniversary, the event will also showcase the new 5th generation A-series and Valtra's smart agriculture technology in commemoration of Valtra's successes to date.
