The LSA Charitable Trust is looking for the future leaders of the UK’s horticulture industry to join the LSA CT Fellowship Scheme. The applications window for the 2025 cohort opens on 1st September 2024.

The LSA Charitable Trust have brought together a selection of leading horticultural organisations to help shape a Fellowship Scheme, which will help cultivate and mature prospective industry leaders, safeguarding our industry’s future. Supporting partners for this scheme include the National Farmers Union, British Growers Association, The Horticultural Trades Association and the Chartered Institute of Horticulture.

This initiative aims to cultivate the next generation of leaders in the commercial horticulture industry by actively involving emerging professionals in strategic leadership and giving them a better understanding of the breadth of the sector. Throughout the program, participants will enhance their understanding of the pivotal role played by trade bodies and their committees in shaping industry strategies and engaging with government authorities. The program also funds attendance of conferences and study tours that are beyond the requirements of their current employment.

Moreover, the scheme will expand their knowledge of ongoing research, enabling them to assess its potential impact on the industry. Participants will also foster connections with a diverse array of individuals in businesses, trade bodies and research organisations.

The Fellowship Scheme will run from the 1st January and will last 2 years. At the end of the Scheme each Fellow will receive a certificate summarising the activities undertaken as part of the program as well as feedback from the Management group. This is supported with a £3,300 bursary to cover all expenses.

LSA is looking for new entrants and developing managers who are on a professional management pathway within commercial UK horticulture.
To apply for the scheme please visit: www.lsactfellowship.org. Applications open again on 1st September 2024. Deadline for applications is the 31st October 2024.
