The Poinsettia value chain will meet in the United Kingdom on November 20th The new edition of the sectorial conference that brings together the poinsettia industry in the United Kingdom has an excellent program of speakers, technical content and the opportunity to see and evaluate the latest poinsettia varieties. 9/18/2025

The Poinsettia Growers Group has confirmed the full programme for the 2025 Poinsettia Conference, which will take place on Thursday 20th November at Bridge Farm Group in Spalding. The event will once again welcome growers, breeders, suppliers, and industry representatives from across the UK ornamental horticulture sector. Programme highlights Attendees will benefit from an agenda of technical presentations, trial reviews, and networking opportunities. Key sessions include: • Welcome & housekeeping – David Ball • Growing Media update – Simon Blackhurst • Variety overviews – Johan Heemskerk (Beekenkamp) and Henrik Nielsen (Dümmen Orange) • Industry updates – ADOPT Grant with British Growers Association • FERA Science update – Neil Audsley • Variety overviews & Biological Control– Ton de Bresser (Selecta One) & David MacDonald (Koppert) • Horticultural Crop Protection – Joanna McTigue (HCP) • Poinsettia Growers Trial Review – Graeme Edwards In addition to the conference sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the new variety trials and take part in the judging for the Harry Kitchener Poinsettia Award, sponsored once again by Bulrush Horticulture.
