Sulfur burner, a safe and profitable alternative for water treatment in Mexican organic agriculture

This alternative solution allows lowering the pH of the water and releasing micronutrients present in it, reducing the need to apply fertilizers to crops.

Sulfur burner in a water pond.

Agrofacto, a pioneer company in agricultural solutions, celebrates the installation of a new sulfur burner in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. This technology is presented as a safe and more profitable alternative to the use of sulfuric, nitric and phosphoric acids to lower the pH of water, in addition to being an environmentally friendly solution since it does not pollute, and is certified for organic agriculture.

Transforming water with advanced technology

The chemical reaction of sulfur with oxygen and heat produces SO2, and with contact with water through the machine's double venturi system, Sulfurous Acid is created, which when diluted with irrigation creates a solution that:

- Neutralizes bicarbonates

- Reduces pH levels in water and alkalinity of irrigation water. The water can enter the machine with a pH of 8.5 and at its exit it can register a pH of 2; With the concentrated solution you can lower the pH of the water to the most optimal level for your crop.

By neutralizing the bicarbonates found in the soil, the sulfur burner will allow the release of micronutrients such as iron, zinc, phosphorus, potassium, manganese and others, which benefit the plant, reducing the need for fertilizer application.

Benefits for farmers after installing a sulfur burner

- In soil: Reduces carbonates and bicarbonates in the soil, reduces the use of fertilizers, increases water infiltration and root growth.

- In plant: Improves the quality of crops, improves seed germination, promotes plant growth and injects sulfur as a nutrient.

- In water: Reduces the PH levels of the water, controls water conditions, reduces carbonates and bicarbonates, acidifies the water and reduces water consumption.

Commitment to excellence and research

With more than 30 years of experience in the field, at Agrofacto we are committed to excellence and innovation. Continuous collaboration with experts in agronomy and engineering has allowed the development of advanced solutions that set the standard in the agricultural industry.
