On a day marked by emotion and the desire to face new challenges, Grupo Hijuelas officially opened its new nursery in Mexico, consolidating a key step in its role as a global agricultural development platform, supporting the growth of agricultural producers in Latin America.

The ceremony brought together Grupo Hijuelas' team of professionals along with suppliers, clients, collaborators, and friends. The event included the blessing of the facilities and moving remarks from Juan Ignacio Goycoolea Sone, CEO of the group, and Christian Vélez, director of NAM.

"This new nursery in Querétaro focuses on berries—raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, and blueberry—and also opens the way for the development of larger fruit trees. It represents a platform for growth and collaboration with producers who share our vision of innovation and excellence," said Juan Ignacio Goycoolea. "This goes hand in hand with our journey toward internationalizing the group and becoming a global platform."

Gaspar Goycoolea Vial, president of Grupo Hijuelas, also highlighted the importance of this milestone in the agricultural holding company's history. "The inauguration of this nursery is momentous in our history. We are excited to see how we continue to expand into new territories, accompanied by producers and suppliers who believe in our work and the future of fruit growing."

With this, Grupo Hijuelas expands its international presence and makes Mexico a strategic hub for the berry and fruit industry, providing innovation, sustainability, and high-value solutions for local producers.

For his part, Christian Vélez noted that this project "not only represents a new beginning, but also the culmination of a path full of challenges, lessons learned, and, above all, hope." He added in his speech: "Grupo Hijuelas in Mexico is preparing for all the challenges the future holds. Our goal is to arrive with plants of extraordinary quality, meeting the highest standards."

This recently inaugurated project joins other equally important projects in Peru, Colombia, and Africa, where Grupo Hijuelas is developing its international growth initiatives from Chile to the most important fruit-growing regions in the world.
