More than 40 importers, from almost 20 countries, have already been confirmed for this business round that Fedefruta and ProChile will carry out on October 29 online. "The receivers are not only expectant about the Chilean fruit that will be marketed this season, they also expect to know the offer from the producers themselves and that is what we are going to facilitate in this FruitCare", affirms the president of the union, Jorge Valenzuela. Despite the reconfiguration of the fresh fruit sales channels due to the pandemic, the Federation of Fruit Producers of Chile (Fedefruta) has detected a very strong demand for Chilean fruit for export, both for the traditional offer and the most daring . This has been seen with the registration of 40 importing companies for the FruitCare International Business Roundtable, a Fedefruta event that has the support of ProChile and that this year will be held online on Thursday, October 29. "The receivers are not only expectant about the Chilean fruit that will be marketed this season, they also expect to know the offer from the producers themselves and that is what we are going to facilitate in this FruitCare", says the president of Fedefruta, Jorge Valenzuela. "We are going to take advantage of digital tools to help connect fruit growers with their counterparts in different parts of the planet, since this situation is an opportunity to have a greater reach and immediacy with destinations". The Fedefruta and ProChile International FruitCare Business Round has already registered recipients from China, India, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand in Asia, entrepreneurs from North America and Europe (United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain and Ukraine), and also many representatives and agents from Latin America interested in Chilean fruit, from countries such as Colombia, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica and Cuba, among others. "The confirmed ones have not only asked questions about the traditional Chilean fruit," says Valenzuela. “There are also many inquiries for nuts, frozen fruit and organic. Our business presents a great contrast in its offer, and what we are looking for is to give opportunities to all producers to make themselves known in the markets that are attentive ”. This International Business Round will be preceded by FruitCare Webinar on October 28, with a program that will start at 12 noon with the plenary session "Configuration of Export Fruit Production in Pandemic and Water Crisis", and will continue with rooms in parallel for the North, Central and South zones, and also for the Ñuble Region, the next fruit and vegetable pole in the country.
