As in previous years, the EMEX association (Association of Mango Producers and Packers of Mexico) has held its Assembly in which for three days they debated and analyzed the challenges that the Mexican mango industry currently faces.

During this very important event, which is held annually, two important challenges that the Mexican mango has to face have been especially highlighted, such as the Unity and Cohesion of the sector and the Brand Image, very important factors to face the globalization of markets that is currently so present in the world food trade.

But, during this meeting, the importance of market diversification was also analyzed, making it very clear that the United States continues and will continue to be the main market, with Europe as the second market. At the same time, interest has been expressed in more distant markets such as Japan, which is pending work and development.

Within the same context, the maturity of the Mexican industry continues to be an example for other industries, especially with the creation of the “Mango EMEX” quality seal, already presented in the United States, and which has become a reference at the level of throughout Latin America, as this industry is the first to create its own quality brand.

There is no doubt that quality is the best letter of presentation of Mexican mango, which together with its commercial diversification strategies make it a “star product” of great international success, and which also has the support in the United States of the National Mango Board, in terms of promotion and research.

The great work that EMEX does as an organization is to be a “great ambassador” of the internationalization of the Mexican mango, and without a doubt, in this meeting, the leadership of this superfood worldwide has been ratified.
