On January 17 and 18, 2024, 424 exhibitors from 18 countries gathered at Targi Kielce. They presented machines for working in orchards and growing vegetables. Refrigeration equipment, as well as storage, sorting and packaging of fruit and vegetables. Plots with examples of nursery materials were crowded. A significant number of exhibitors presented fertilizers and plant protection products, including ecological ones. The fruit processing and trading industry was also present.

TSW hosted over 100 more exhibitors than last year. 424 companies occupied six halls, one more than in 2023. The exhibition area was increased by 20 percent. The fair was visited by over 1,000 more people - 13,832 guests. The new fair location chosen two years ago is a fruit and vegetable production center. "Targi Kielce is very hospitable to us and we feel great here", says TSW director Jacek Kłudka.

Most exhibitors have already declared their participation in the 15th edition of TSW, which is scheduled for January 22 and 23, 2025. Many emphasize that they are counting on a larger space.

The decision to move the fair to Kielce already serves the development of the event, which is clearly visible after the success of this year's edition. In 2025, we will have a seventh hall at our disposal, which I am convinced will also be filled in the following years - adds Jacek Kłudka. "If this is not enough, I would like to mention that we are on the threshold of building another one – declares the president of Targi Kielce", Dr. Andrzej Mochoń.

The importance of the event was emphasized by Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Adam Nowak. "The TSW fair is an excellent space for discussions for producers, farmers and processors. They encourage the improvement of qualifications and skills among farmers and fruit growers", he said.

Impressive examples of mechanization, robotization and automation at TSW

Exhibitors' presentations are proof of impressive progress in the production of agricultural machinery. Mechanization, robotization and automation are becoming a reality, responding to industry challenges, including: to labor shortages and the Green Deal. Visitors could see autonomous tractors for growing vegetables and fruit in orchards and AgXeed robots that remove weeds with a laser. Traditional tractors surprised with new solutions. Visitors could see brands such as Case IH, New Holland, Landini, Iseki, Lovol, Massey Ferguson, John Deere, TYM, LS. The models, appreciated for comfort and safety of work in orchards, surprised with fully glazed cabins. Innovative solutions for pruning branches were presented by, among others: Grunner and PROCNC, and combines that ensure the quality of fruit and vegetable harvests - including: Jagoda and Weremczuk.

There were also modern sorting and packaging lines. At many stands you could see how they work, e.g. Green Sort presented the latest packing table. Dominiak presented a wide range of orchard sprayers. Among tillage machines, the trend of mechanical weed removal stood out. Automatic weeders and lawn mowers were popular.

The TSW 2024 fair showed that horticulture strives for innovation and sustainable solutions, contributing to efficient production and environmental protection.

Huge interest in the TSW Congress

Fruit growers want to develop and improve work on their farms. This was confirmed by the crowds attending the TSW Congress. As many as 9 conferences were organized, which provided growers with knowledge, among others: on the modernization of work, as well as the possibility of reducing production costs. 80 experts shared their knowledge, including: about fertilization, new varieties, diseases and pests.

Horticultural, berry, machinery, vegetable, strawberry, nursery conferences, on renewable energy sources and the situation in the industry, as well as the Fruit Economic Forum allowed participants to gain specialist knowledge about cultivation and trade.
