The pest in northwestern Argentina, which was first detected in Cordoba, should not be a problem for the next season, according to experts, as long as prevention and monitoring measures are implemented.
In May of this year, exports of unroasted coffee increased by 61.7%; palm oil and its fractions by 53.9%; flowers and foliage by 5.6%; and coffee extracts, essences, and concentrates by 36.8%, among others.
